Conferences for the Mediterranean/Canada and Mediterranean/Pacific
trades will implement surcharges to restore rates.
The Med-Pac Freight Conference said it will implement recovery program
surcharges Sept 1, which will add $100 per TEU and $150 per FEU. The
surcharge will be on cargoes from all Mediterranean origins, including
Italy, Spain, France, Portugal and Greece, the conference said.
Med Pacific Express (D’Amico/Italia JSVC) and Zim Israel Navigation are
members of Med-Pac.
The Med-Can Freight Conference will implement a "rate restoration
program" surcharge of $150 per TEU and $250 per FEU, effective Oct. 1.
Med-Can members are Canada Maritime, Cast, DSR-Senator and Zim.
