MED SHIPPING AND PARTNERS ADD LE HAVRE TO ATLANTIC SERVICE

MED SHIPPING AND PARTNERS ADD LE HAVRE TO ATLANTIC SERVICE    Mediterranean Shipping Co. has included the French port of Le Havre as a direct call on its weekly U.S. South Atlantic/Gulf/Mexico/North Europe service.
   Previously, Le Havre was served by transhipment via Felixstowe in the U.K.
   The service deploys six vessels of 3,000 to 3,400-TEU capacity and now has a rotation of Veracruz, Mexico; Altamira, Mexico; Houston; New Orleans; Freeport, Bahamas; Charleston; Antwerp; Hamburg; Bremerhaven; Felixstowe; Le Havre; Charleston; Freeport; Veracruz; Altamira; Houston and New Orleans.
   Hyundai Merchant Marine and Atlantic Container Line both have space on the service.
   The addition of Le Havre to the service rotation follows the introduction of a sixth ship to the service in January and last month’s announcement of the switch in port rotation between Hamburg and Bremerhaven.
