MED/WEST COAST OF NORTH AMERICA CONFERENCE RAISES BUNKER CHARGE
The Med Pac Conference, a rate-making group in the trade from the Mediterranean to the Pacific Coast of the U.S. and Canada, said that it will increase its bunker charge on May 10.
The westbound “bunker adjustment factor/interim fuel participation” charge will go up from $50 (U.S.) to $61 per TEU. For breakbulk cargoes, the bunker charge remains at 3 percent.
