Meeting scheduled for Fort Lauderdale runway project
Broward County and the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration are holding a public meeting Thursday night on the proposed runway expansion at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
The meeting is an FAA briefing organized to provide the public with information about the runway expansion and options for the project. It will be held at the Fort Lauderdale branch library at 1300 East Sunrise Blvd.
A follow-up workshop is scheduled for May 1 at the Broward County Convention Center. On June 5, the county commissioners will hold a public hearing on the runway expansion at the County Government Center in Fort Lauderdale.
