Menlo reveals DTCI team

Menlo reveals DTCI team Menlo Worldwide on Monday announced its team that will fulfill its massive new contract with the U.S. Defense Department to coordinate freight transportation for 260 depots, bases and other sites.
   U.S. Transportation Command declared the Con-way Inc. subsidiary as the winning bidder for the Defense Transportation Coordination Initiative, a three-year contract worth more than $500 million and valued at $1.6 billion over seven years with options.
   Menlo said its main information technology partner is Computer Sciences Corp., which will host and manage the IT network and provide integration services. ONE Network Enterprises Inc. will provide transportation management software for shipment planning, carrier selection and execution. And Olgoonik Logistics will provide professional services supporting minority-owned and small business firms as service contractors for DTCI.
   Several other bidders teamed with logistics and trucking companies in their original bid. Menlo can still team up with transportation providers, but already has access to sister company Con-way Freight, a large less-than-truckload carrier, if it’s price falls within the DoD’s guidelines.
