MercuryGate, SMC3 partner on LTL pricing API

Application programming interface (API) provider SMC3 will offer a less-than-truckload pricing API for multiple carriers within MercuryGate’s transportation management system (TMS), the companies said in a joint statement.

Transportation management systems (TMS) solutions provider MercuryGate International and application programming interface (API) provider SMC3 have teamed up to offer a less-than-truckload (LTL) pricing API for multiple carriers within MercuryGate’s TMS.
SMC3’s pricing API is the latest product within the company’s Execution and Visibility APIs and gives users direct access to their imaging APIs and negotiated contract pricing, including accessorial charges. Users will access the pricing API through SMC3’s platform, the companies said.
“MercuryGate is one of the top TMS providers in the industry, and Monica and her team have been valued SMC3 partners for years,” said Andrew Slusher, president and CEO of SMC3. “As the launch TMS vendor for our pricing API, MercuryGate is making a commitment to providing its customers with best-in-breed APIs that optimize the complete LTL shipment lifecycle.”
Rather than use EDI (electronic data interface), MercuryGate will integrate SMC3s APIs into their TMS. SMC3 is not the only API platform to be utilized by MercuryGate, but API provider project44 has also partnered with MercuryGate, thus giving users multiple APIs to choose from.
