Merger talks between Christian Salvesen, TDG continue
U.K.-based logistics service provider Christian Salvesen PLC said Friday that it continues to discuss a potential merger with fellow British logistics company TDG.
On Oct. 1, Christian Salvesen announced that it was in preliminary discussions that might lead to a possible merger. Subsequently, TDG confirmed that it had held preliminary discussions with Christian Salvesen.
“These discussions are at an early stage and there is no certainty that a transaction will be forthcoming,” Christian Salvesen said.
The talks between two major contract logistics suppliers in the U.K. follow the takeover of Tibbett & Britten Group for $600 million by Exel, another U.K-based international logistics provider.
