Drum has been at the Miami International Airport more than 30 years, starting out in 1976 as an airport clerk in airside operations. He has been involved in various operations-related positions ever since.
'I would like to express my warm appreciation and thanks to all of the many friends I have made over the years,' he said in a statement Friday. 'It has been my pleasure to serve at MIA and our GA (general aviation) airports. I am very bullish on the future of our airports. Thank you for the fond memories and your lasting friendships.'
