Miami transport executive seeking participation in charity event
Wendell Beckles, FedEx's managing director, South Coast District air ground and freight services, is putting out an appeal to the cargo services companies at Miami International Airport to participate in the 2008 Miami Kidney Walk this February.
Beckles is corporate chairman for the 2008 Miami Kidney Walk, which will be held Feb. 10 at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami.
Beckles and other organizers are looking for corporate sponsors, volunteer helpers and participants in the walk. The fundraising goal for the Miami walk is $300,000.
