Miami’s state of the ports briefing Feb. 27

MiamiÆs state of the ports briefing Feb. 27 The World Trade Center Miami has scheduled this year's State of the Ports briefing for Feb. 27 at the Hilton Miami Airport Hotel.
   Port of Miami Director Bill Johnson and Miami-Dade Aviation Department Director Jos' Abreu will each give briefing-style presentations on their respective operations.
   This year the meeting returns to a luncheon format, with registration opening at 11:20 a.m., lunch at noon, and presentations at 12:45-1:40 p.m.. Cost is $40 per person and $400 for a corporate table.
   Last year's meeting was held at the Performing Arts Center in downtown Miami, which had just opened a few months earlier. The change to a late afternoon speech venue was intended to showcase the county-owned Arts Center. Both the seaport and the airport are county facilities.
