Minor ferry collision in New York

The Coast Guard said two ferryboats collided in New York Harbor at about 7:10 a.m. Thursday morning.

   The Enduring Freedom, a 65-foot ferry boat, and the Christopher Columbus, a 78-foot ferry boat, collided when the Enduring Freedom was approaching Pier 11 in Manhattan and the Christopher Columbus was departing. Both ferries are owned by BillyBey Ferry Co.

   One passenger on board the Christopher Columbus reported a minor cut caused by the incident. No damage or pollution was reported. There were an estimated 150 passengers on each vessel.
