MISC boosts India coverage
Malaysia’s MISC Berhad is increasing its presence in the booming Indian market by adding calls at Nhava Sheva to its newly started Halal Express Service and joining the Gulf India Straits Service of Simatech and OOCL.
The Halal Express now calls Singapore, Port Kelang, Colombo, Jebel Ali, Karachi, Nava Sheva, Colombo, and Singapore.
“The new rotation will provide a fast transit time from India’s main gateway port Nava Sheva to Far East and Australasia region via transshipment hubs in Port Klang and Singapore,” MISC said.
Effective Nov. 6, MISC will provide a 950-TEU chartered vessel to the GIS service, which calls Singapore, Port Kelang, Nhava Sheva, Port Qasim, Jebel Ali, Bandar Abbas, Jebel Ali, Mundra, Cochin, and Singapore.
“The two services perfectly complement one another to further strengthen MISC’s presence in the world’s fastest growing economic regions,” MISC said in a statement.
