Mitsui O.S.K. appoints Inchcape to handle bulk ships in Australia

Inchcape Shipping Services has been appointed “preferred shipping agent” for bulk loading vessels at the major bulk ports of Australia by Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, a contract that includes 633 port calls a year.

Inchcape will be responsible for all MOL’s major port husbandry services in the region. The agency role covers the coal, iron ore, mineral sands and salt commodity sectors.

Inchcape said it has seen steady growth in all sectors of the Australian bulk shipping market since commencing operations in Australia in 1998 with the acquisition of Patrick Sleigh Shipping Agencies.
