MITSUI PICKS VASTERA SOLUTION FOR DOCUMENTATION

MITSUI PICKS VASTERA SOLUTION FOR DOCUMENTATION    Mitsui USA, a subsidiary of Mitsui & Co., in Japan, has contracted with Vastera Inc., a provider of transportation solutions, to add software that expedites documentation and export compliance to applications that Vastera already provides Mitsui.
   Last year, Mitsui USA integrated Vastera’s TradeSphere software with Mitsui’s SAP client server system, so that international orders go from SAP into TradeSphere for documentation.
   In this new agreement, Vastera will add a software module for export compliance, according to Mark Ferrer, president and chief operating officer at Vastera, which is based in Dulles, Va.
