MNX opens Life Sciences Logistics Centre in Amsterdam

The expedited transportation and logistics services provider said its new temperature-controlled logistics facility will serve as the operations and warehousing hub for its life sciences and medical device customers throughout Europe.

MNX opened its Life Sciences Logistics Centre in Amsterdam, Netherlands, just outside of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, which will serve as the operations and warehousing hub for its life sciences and medical device customers throughout Europe.
Designed to support the movement of critical biopharmaceutical, radiopharmaceutical and medical device shipments, the facility features temperature controlled storage at -20 degrees Celsius (-4 degrees Fahrenheit), 2-8 degrees Celsius (35.6-46.4 degrees Fahrenheit) and 18 degrees Celsius (64.4 degrees Fahrenheit).
Capacity at the new facility exceeds 1,300 square meters, with the option to expand by an additional 1,700 square meters.
“The new Life Sciences Logistics Centre in Amsterdam allows us to provide cross docking, inventory storage and transportation for our clients needing temperature sensitive control,” MNX Senior Vice President for EMEA Jan Willem Van ‘t Riet said in a statement. “In addition, our customers will benefit from our strict adherence to industry wide compliance procedures and protocols and our direct ramp access to personally deliver and retrieve critical shipments from the airlines that serve Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.”
Headquartered in Irvine, Calif., MNX provides services to over 190 countries worldwide.
