MOL adding Da Chan call to intra-Asia service    Japanese liner carrier MOL said Wednesday it is adding a call at the Da Chan Bay terminal, part of the Port of Shenzhen, to its Japan-Hong Kong-Straits Service.
   The new call will begin in August and will be the first direct call between Japan and Da Chan, the newest terminal complex in Shenzhen. Da Chan is the closest major container terminal to the manufacturing hub of South China, Dongguan.
   The weekly CHS1 route is served by three 3,500-TEU ships. Port rotation is Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Kobe, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Kelang, Singapore, Da Chan Bay, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.
   The first sailing with the revised rotation will arrive at Da Chan Bay on Aug. 20.
