MOL adds doc accuracy metric to KPIs

   The liner carrier MOL said Monday it has added a new metric to the list of monthly key performance indicators it plans to publicly share on the transpacific trade.
   The new metric, documentation accuracy, will be measured against a goal of 99.5 percent. The line provided data for January through March on both eastbound and westbound accuracy. Eastbound, documentation accuracy was 96.7 percent in January, 97.5 percent in February, and 98.2 percent in March. Westbound, it was 99.4 percent in January and February, and 98.6 percent in March.
   In mid-April, the line released its latest list of metrics, which includes truck turn times at its terminals, and lost call rates, among other items.
   “MOL was the first ocean carrier to publicly disclose export (bill of lading) documentation completion rates and now we are the first to publicly disclose documentation accuracy rates.” said Stephen Ryan, vice president of customer service, MOL (America). “Although we continue to exceed our performance standards for the timely release of the export draft, we understand that documentation accuracy is of equal or greater importance to our customers.”
