Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province, has a population of more than 4.5 million people and lies roughly 250 miles west of Shanghai. According to MOL, its major economic activities include manufacturing of electrical appliances, chemical products and auto parts. Exports and imports of Hefei's finished products and raw materials pass mainly through the Port of Shanghai.
The opening of the Hefei office brings the number of MOL China offices in China to 26.
