MOL creates link between Far East, South Africa and Mozambique Mitsui O.S.K. Lines has consolidated its Singapore/Durban shuttle service (ZAX) and the Shanghai/Singapore service (CS1) to create a direct connection between ports in China, Singapore, South Africa and Mozambique.
   The new service uses seven ships in the 1,600-TEU to 1,700-TEU range calling Shanghai, Xiamen, Yantian, Hong Kong, Singapore, Durban, Maputo, Singapore and back to Shanghai. Dachan Bay, the new container terminal in Shenzhen, China, will be added to the service at a later date, MOL said.
   The Tokyo-based carrier said it is the only line offering a direct service between Asia and the Mozambique port of Maputo.
