MOL hires agents for booming Southeast Europe market

Japanese shipping company Mitsui O.S.K. Lines has appointed Panta Rhei as its agents for Romania, the Ukraine and Moldova.
The Tokyo-based carrier said the agency would help promote its liner business in the fast-growing Southeast European market. MOL is about to start a weekly Asia-East Mediterranean/Black Sea service called EBX with New World Alliance partners APL and Hyundai Merchant Marine and also Hanjin Shipping and United Arab Shipping Co. (UASC).
Panta Rhei runs offices in Romania in the port of Constanza as well as Bucharest and operates in Ukraine from the Port of Odessa.
'These markets are experiencing strong growth and this trend is expected to continue,' said Jochen Veldmann, MOL's executive director trade. 'As a global carrier we look to offer high quality and reliable services to established and emerging markets across the globe.'
