The 6,530-TEU MOL Paramount arrived in Halifax as part of the SVE service, an all-water service that expedites cargo from major Asian ports to Halifax and key destinations on the U.S. East Coast, via the Suez Canal. The ship is also the largest container vessel to dock in Halifax's Halterm Terminal.
MOL recently joined the SVE service, jointly operated with 'K' Line. MOL provides two ships and 'K' Line seven, with average capacity of about 5,500 TEUs. The service has a rotation of Cai Mep, Shekou, Hong Kong, Yantian, Singapore, Halifax, New York, Norfolk, Jacksonville, Savannah, Singapore and Cai Mep.
