MOL tests low-friction paint
MOL said Monday it has tested a new low-friction ship bottom paint named LF-Sea developed by Nippon Paint Marine Coatings Co. on a new pure car truck carrier, and found it reduced fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emission by about 4 percent.
The two companies are attempting to develop a paint that can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 8 percent to 12 percent when compared to conventional anti-fouling paints
