MOL to continue Asia/South Africa/West Africa service

MOL to continue Asia/South Africa/West Africa service    Mitsui O.S.K. Lines said it will replace its existing joint service with P&O Nedlloyd in the Asia/South Africa/West Africa trade with a new loop starting in the first week of December.
   The WA1 service will deploy seven 1,800-TEU ships and have a sailing frequency of every 10 days. The port rotation will be: Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Louis, Tamatave (to be confirmed), Durban, Tema, Lagos, Lome, Durban, Port Louis, Colombo (to be confirmed), Singapore and back to Hong Kong.
   MOL’s existing WACCON/WA1 joint service with P&O Nedlloyd uses 10 ships with an average sailing frequency of every seven days. The port rotation is: Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Durban, Lome, Lagos, Lome, Tema, Abidjan, Durban, Colombo, Singapore and Shanghai.
   MOL also takes space on Pacific International Lines’ Asia South Africa (ASA) service.
