MOL to handle Asia consolidation for Burlington Coat Factory
MOL on Monday said Burlington Coat Factory has selected Hong Kong-based MOL Consolidation Service as the retailer's logistics partner and consolidator/forwarder for the Asia region.
The contract includes Burlington's activities in China, Vietnam, India and Pakistan and is intended to streamline the company's import logistics from origin to final distribution centers in the United States as it goes into a phase of expanding its number of retail outlets. New Jersey-based Burlington operates more than 390 stores nationwide.
MOL will provide IT tracking and EDI services as well as various value-added services such as origin cargo inspection, barcode labeling and scanning.
