MOL to join OOCLÆs Japan/Vietnam loop
Tokyo-based Mitsui O.S.K. Lines will next month take space on a weekly service operated by OOCL between Japan and Vietnam.
The JTV service calls Ho Chi Minh City, Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, Kobe and back to Ho Chi Minh City. MOL's participation on the service will commence when the 1,500-TEU vessel 'Sunset Bay' departs from the Vietnam port Dec. 4.
'The move is part of MOL's plans to enhance containerized service in the booming intra-Asia cargo trade,' the Japanese carrier said.
MOL also operates its own weekly CBC service that connects Vietnam to Japan, China and Thailand.
