MOL to start Shanghai/Singapore feeder
Tokyo-based Mitsui O.S.K. Lines will next week start a weekly shuttle service between Shanghai and Singapore.
The China Singapore Service Loop 1 (CS1) will use two ships ranging from 1,000 to 1,200 TEUs and commence with the departure of the vessel “Phoenix” from Singapore Oct. 19.
“The move is aimed at enhancing containerized service into, out of, and within Asia, which continues to show tremendous economic growth. MOL will offer more competitive service to ports in India and Pakistan with speedy connections from Singapore,” MOL said of the new service.
