Montrone heads K + NÆs North American sea freight
Kuehne + Nagel has appointed Paolo Montrone to senior vice president for sea freight in North America, effective Jan. 1.
Since 2008, Montrone has served as senior vice president for sea freight for K + N's Southwest European operations, with responsibilities across France, Luxemburg, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Malta.
Montrone joined K + N in 1990 as the New York-based international sales manager for Italy, before being promoted in 1993 to national director for sea freight in the Mediterranean. From 1997 to 2008, he held positions in Italy, including Florence branch manager, district manager for central Italy, national director of sales and marketing, and national director for sea freight.
