Moorman to replace Goode as Norfolk Southern’s chairman
Charles W. Moorman on Feb. 1 will replace David R. Goode as chairman of Norfolk Southern Corp., parent of Norfolk Southern Railway Co.
Moorman replaced Goode as the company’s chief executive in November.
Goode will remain on Norfolk Southern’s board of directors until the annual meeting of stockholders in May. He is anticipated to retire thereafter.
In a related development, Daniel A. Carp, former chairman and chief executive officer of Eastman Kodak Co., has been elected as a director of Norfolk Southern. Carp left Eastman Kodak earlier this month.
