Moran orders new tugboats
Moran Towing Corp. of New Canaan, Conn. has signed a letter of commitment to have the Washburn & Doughty Shipyard in East Boothbay, Maine build it six additional tugboats.
Moran said it anticipates having six, 92-foot, Azimuth Stern Drive tugboats built for its docking fleet, but has the option to build other sorts of vessels if it desires.
Construction of the six tugs is slated to begin in the spring of 2007 and finish in mid-2009.
