The vessels, sister-ships Carpathia and Cordelia, were acquired while the company was finalizing the purchase of the 1,200-TEU vessel Mare Frio, according to Splash 24/7. The initial total cost for all three ships is reported to be $11 million.
The newly-formed subsidiary of German investment and asset management firm MPC Capital expects to have the vessels in its fleet by the end of June, said Splash 24/7.
