MSAS Global Logistics has been selected by Sony to manage transportation
and logistics for its European computer business.
MSAS will provide logistics services including ocean and air
transportation, inventory management and distribution for Sony from its
Antwerp, Belgium distribution center.
Belgian customs inspectors are on-site at the distribution center to
speed up the import clearance process for Sony’s component shipments mostly from the U.K.,
Japan and Thailand.
Customer orders taken by Sony’s regional sales offices in Europe will
soon be handled directly by MSAS. The U.K.-based forwarder will also
provide computer unit testing and fulfill customized orders.
