MSC announces North Atlantic service change

CORRECTION: In the article titled “MSC announces North Atlantic service change,” the service change was incorrectly identified. MSC will be adding calls in Boston and Philadelphia to its service between North Europe and Ecuador.

   Mediterranean Shipping Co. said it will make a change to one of its North Atlantic services that will take effect early next year.
   The rotation for the carrier’s changed westbound transatlantic service, also known as Liberty Bridge 4 by CMA CGM and Delmas, will be Antwerp, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam, Le Havre, Boston and Philadelphia. Currently, the port rotation includes Bremerhaven, Felixstowe, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Le Havre, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Norfolk, New York and Bremerhaven.
   According to BlueWater Reporting, five vessels with an approximate total capacity of 29,924 TEUs currently sail on a 35-day rotation in the North Atlantic service. MSC operates all vessels, while CMA CGM and Delmas take slots on the service.
   BlueWater Reporting also noted MSC operates vessels on eight other services conducting trade between Europe and North America.
