MSC/CMA CGM adds calls on Asia-Europe loops

   The liner carrier Mediterranean Shipping Co. said Monday that the westbound rotations of two of the Asia-Northern Europe services it operates jointly with CMA CGM are being adjusted.
   The lines will add a call in Singapore to the MSC-operated Lion services (which CMA CGM calls FAL 7), with a revised westbound rotation of Ningbo, Shanghai, Xiamen, Yantian, Chiwan, Singapore, Sines, Le Havre, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Dunkirk, and Felixstowe. The service is operated with 11 vessels, all from MSC and with an average capacity of 12,926 TEUs, according to American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data.
   The other service affected is the CMA CGM-operated FAL 3, which MSC calls its Swan service. That loop will see Yantian added in place of a call at Cai Mep in Vietnam. The revised westbound rotation will be Xingang, Dalian, Busan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Yantian, Singaport, Port Kelang, Le Havre, Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam, Southampton, and Zeebrugge.
   The service is operated with 11 vessels, all from CMA CGM, with an average capacity of 11,232 TEUs. Evergreen Line, China Shipping, UASC, ANL, and Delmas take slots on the service. – Eric Johnson
