MSC increasing ECSA export rates

The liner carrier Mediterranean Shipping Co. said last week it will raise rates from the east coast of South America to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Indian Subcontinent from mid-March.
The increase is $300 per 20-foot container and $500 per 40-foot container for dry or reefer cargo.
The line also said it will hike rates from Northern Europe to the Indian Subcontinent by $200 per container on March 1, and again on April 1.
Finally, MSC said it will raise rates on shipments from Turkey to the east coast of South America by $200 per TEU from March 15.
