ôMSC Napoliö container salvage operation delayed The operation to discharge containers from the 'MSC Napoli' containership, beached off England's Devon coast started this morning, after the scheduled weekend start was delayed by a mooring cable snapping on one of the barges holding a crane.
   The 'MSC Napoli' was carrying 2,394 containers when it was caught in a severe storm on Jan. 18 that lead to it being deliberately grounded off Branscombe Beach to avoid it sinking in deep water. In total, 103 containers went overboard with many floating ashore before being ransacked by beachcombers.
   The operation to remove the containers still on the ship is expected to last about five months and the managers of the vessel, London-based Zodiac Maritime Agencies Ltd., have said that priority will be given to lifting those containing hazardous cargo as well as those that will most reduce the stress on the hull, Zodiac.
