MSC, PSA establish Singapore container terminal joint venture
PSA Corp. and Mediterranean Shipping Co. have strengthened their partnership by jointly managing and operating a container terminal for MSC in Singapore.
The two parties have an existing joint venture in Antwerp.
The new company, MSC-PSA Asia Terminal (MPAT), will occupy three berths at Pasir Panjang Terminal with an annual capacity of more than 2 million TEUs. Pasir Panjang is equipped to handle the new generation mega-containerships in excess of 9,000 TEUs.
