Mediterranean Shipping Co. said this week it is raising rates from the Far East to the Caribbean, Central America and Colombia.
The increases to all three regions are $560 per 20-foot container and $800 per 40-foot or 40-foot high-cube container from Jan. 5. On cargo from Taiwan or to Colombia and Puerto Rico, the increases take effect Jan. 20.
