MSC will hike Europe-to-East Africa rates from Feb. 1 by $300 per TEU. The increases are applicable from Northern Europe, including Baltic and Scandinavian ports.
The line has also altered its bunker surcharge on the same trade, to $765 per TEU, while its currency adjustment will become 8.03 percent, also from Feb. 1.
The line’s bunker surcharge from Europe to Red Sea ports will be $405 per TEU from Feb. 1, while the bunker surcharge from Europe to India and Pakistan will be $500 per TEU from Feb. 1.
