The liner carrier Mediterranean Shipping Co. said Wednesday it will raise bunker fees and some rates on the transatlantic trade from Oct. 1.
The bunker rates to Northern Europe will be:
- $290 per TEU from the U.S. and Canadian west coast.
- $265 per TEU from the U.S. and Canadian east coast, and the Caribbean.
- $330 per TEU from Mexico.
MSC will also raise rates on westbound shipments from Europe to Canada and Mexico by $150 per 20-foot container and $200 per 40-foot container. – Eric Johnson
