MSC to raise U.S. export rates in May
Mediterranean Shipping Co. said Thursday it will increase ocean freight rates on U.S. exports to a number of regions, effective May 1:
' To Northern Europe, Mediterranean, India, Pakistan, Middle East, Red Sea, Turkey, Black Sea, and African, $200 per 20-foot container and $300 per 40-foot container.
' To Baltic and Russian ports, $300 per 20-foot container and $400 per 40-footer.
MSC said 'these actions are necessary in order to continue to ensure equipment availability and reliable services to their customers.'
