MTC orders $5.5 million in AmeraMex container handlers
Oakland-based stevedoring firm Marine Terminals Corp. has placed a $5.5 million order for new container handlers from Chico, Calif.-based heavy equipment provider AmeraMex International.
The equipment is set to be delivered by the first quarter of 2008.
AmeraMex, a forestry products firm that last year acquired Hamre Equipment and last month acquired Sierra Industrial Equipment, recently reported revenue of $6.9 million for the first six months of 2007.
The MTC order is the third-largest order for AmeraMex in the last two months, with two previous July orders for nearly $7 million in equipment.
