Mumbai volume up 7.5%, Chennai up 14.2%    Container volume at India's largest port complex grew 7.5 percent in 2008, AXS-Alphaliner reported Monday.
   The three terminals that make up the Jawaharlal Nehru Port (also known as Nhava Sheva) handled nearly 4.2 million TEUs during the calendar year, with the APM Terminals-backed Gateway Terminals India the busiest individual terminal, having handled 1.52 million TEUs.
   GTI is the newest of the three terminals at JNP. DP World's Nhava Sheva International Container Terminal, India's first privately operated container facility, had throughput of 1.46 million TEUs. The third terminal, wholly owned and run by the government, handled 1.19 million TEUs.
   The second-biggest port in India, Chennai, saw container volume grow 14.2 percent to 1.2 million TEUs in 2008.
