NAAA ELECTS CHAIRMAN, BOARD MEMBER

The North Atlantic Alliance Association has elected Christian Millet to chairman for a five-year term, 2001-2006, a position vacated since 1997.

The NAAA is a Washington-based shippers’ association of about 40 freight forwarders and non-vessel-operating common carriers.

Millet is vice president of Logfret Inc., a Hoboken, N.J., and an NAAA founder.

The NAAA also elected Frank D’Ambra to the board of directors, filling a vacancy since 1999 when Joseph Saggese resigned to become the shippers’ association’s executive managing director. D’Ambra is president of Aries International in Franklin Square, N.Y., and an NAAA member since May 1999.
