NACA reshuffles senior management

   NACA Logistics, the major non-vessel-operating common carrier based in Carson, Calif., has revamped its management with the promotion of Michael Sinclair from chief operating officer to chief executive officer and several other senior appointments.

   Sinclair is now responsible for the regions of North and South America, North Europe, the Mediterranean, and Africa. Expanding import services will be on the top of Sinclair’s agenda, according to company.

   Jeff Lee was appointed COO for the United States after serving as vice president of the Midwest. Lee started with NACA 11 years ago and has experience supervising offices in the Middle East, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom.

   NACA also appointed Mike Dye, formerly senior VP of global services, to become CEO of Asia. Dye is stationed in Hong Kong and will work on continuing development of NACA outside the United States.

   Jonathan Arentsen, formerly the Houston general manager, will replace Lee as VP for the Midwest.

   NACA Logistics has offices in Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and North and South America. The NACA Logistics group of companies includes Brennan International Transport, Direct Container Line, Conterm Consolidation Services and Vanguard Logistics Services.

   In a separate announcement, NACA has appointed Toru Muguruma to head its Japan branch office after long-time general manager, Kozo Takahashi, retired.
