NATA members include aviation businesses that provide services ranging from on-demand air charters to ground services, aircraft maintenance, and pilot training.
NATA last year developed an SMS for ground services. Monday it released a safety system for air charter operations.
Highlights of the air charter SMS include setting goals for senior management commitment, creation of safety manuals for each participating business, Web-base continuing education, independent third-party audits, and data collection methods and analysis.
NATA has also produced a white paper on air charter safety management that is available at https://www.nata.aero.
