National Air Cargo buys Murray Air
Orchard Park, N.Y.-based freight forwarder National Air Cargo has purchased air carrier Murray Air Inc., based in Ypsilanti, Mi.
Financial details were not disclosed.
'Murray has an excellent reputation and will become a strategic part of National’s worldwide growth,' said Chris Alf, president and chief executive of National.
Murray Air operates three DC-8 cargo aircraft primarily for the automotive industry along with passenger operations. It is also a member of the U.S. Military’s Civil Reserve Air Fleet (CRAF) program.
Preston Murray will continue as president and chief operating officer of the Murray operation.
