NAVIS NAMES DILLON CEO
Navis LLC, the Oakland, Calif.-based provider of container-handling software, has named John Dillon as chief executive officer.
Navis co-founders Jonathan Shields and Erik Tiemroth will continue as executive vice presidents.
Dillon served as president and CEO of Salesforce.com and Arbor Software/Hyperion before joining Navis. He has also worked with Oracle Corp., Interleaf, Grid Systems Corp. and Tymshare. A U.S. Naval Academy graduate, he served 15 years in the Navy Reserves at the Department of Navy Control of Shipping, where he retired as commander.
