NEMF opens new terminal
Less-than-truckload carrier NEMF opened its new Lancaster, Pa. freight terminal Monday.
The company said the facility, located on a 15-acre site, adds needed capacity to the Lancaster area and helps support its existing breakbulk terminal in Harrisburg, Pa.
“We’ve experienced a sharp increase in tonnage there since our recent expansion to Ohio, Illinois and Virginia,” said Thomas Connery, executive vice president for NEMF, in a statement.
The Lancaster terminal has 54 doors and employs 16 local route drivers and 12 line-haul drivers.
NEMF, based in Elizabeth, N.J., is a subsidiary of the Shevell Group.
