New Africa, Mideast, India head for APMT    APM Terminals has named Charles Menkhorst as regional vice president for Africa, the Middle East and India.
   Menkhorst succeeds Jorgen Madsen, who's retiring at the end of the year. He has previously experience with FedEx and DHL, holding senior positions in Europe, Asia and the United States.
   APM Terminals, the terminal-operating arm of the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group, recently opened a new office in Dubai as the new regional headquarters, relocating it from Muscat, Oman.
   'The AMI region represents an important part of the global terminal network,' the terminal operator said in a statement. 'It has witnessed rapid growth over the last few years and now covers 12 container terminals that serve their local markets as well serve as hubs for ports at the Indian Ocean Rim. In addition to container operations, the facilities in Bahrain, Salalah and Pipavav also offer substantial bulk and general cargo operations at dedicated facilities.'
