New board members for Port of Wilmington, Del.
Delaware’s state Senate has confirmed two new members to the board of directors of the Diamond State Port Corp, the agency that oversees the Port of Wilmington, Del. They are:
' Marietta 'Peaches' Whalen, a Delaware labor leader and community activist who has worked for General Motors for the past three decades and has been the United Auto Workers corporate communications coordinator at the automaker's Wilmington plant since 1992.
' Joseph G. DiPinto, director of Wilmington's Office of Economic Development, and a former member of the Delaware House of Representatives and Wilmington City Council.
